I am looking for information about my great grandparents August Runge
born 21 January 1849 in Pommeria and Augusta Vollbrecht born 23 March 1854.
I found out that they came to America in 1884. I think that it was their
first child born in Greiffenberg on 21 October 1878. So I don't know if
they were born around that area or not. Augusta Vollbrecht's parents were
Bertha Hartwig and Frederic Vollbrecht. She had 2 sisters that I know of.
As far as August I have no information. Thank you in advance for your time

My family names are Mielke, Kumrow (Kummrow & Kummerow), Beilke,
Fuhrmann, Kadolph, Redepenning, and Werner. Kreis Kolberg-Korlin, Kreis
Schlawe, Stadtkreis Stettin. Am especially interested in Jacob Mielke and
wife Charlotte Borger, probably from Segenthin and Karwitz area of Kreis
Schlawe; their children were born there in 1858 - 1866.

KORTSCHINSKI in Kiel, sie soll auch einen Bruder gehabt haben, der im 2.

Kieler Adressbuch von 1909. das wäre prima, ich habe zu meiner Oma

Dear Karin; On Feb. 13th., I sent you a request for information
on my grandfather, OSCAR VON MUELLER. I had gotten his birthdate from his
US passport. The passport showed a birthdate of Sept. 23, 1878. However,
I recently got a copy of his death certificate showing a birthdate of 9/23/1873.
I am assuming that this information-received from a Registrar in NJ-is
the correct date.

KRONENBERGER, b. 1811 in Plock married Johanna Karolina Augusta WOLFF,
b. 19 Aug 1814, daughter of Johann Karl Wolff, b. abt 1789 in Berlin and
married 1813 to Anna Dorota BLUNK, b. 1791 in Grosse Welle, Brandenburg.

Just starting to research my ancestry. Although I didnt find anything
relevent in your site, it still was interesting browsing. Guess you've
made many people happy. If youor any of your readers finds anything about
the Ziegenhagen family from Polzin pommern which moved to berlin in early
part of 20th century. Grandmother's first name was Anna and she was born
Völz I believe. I also believe some Ziegenhagen relatives emigrated
to South America, possibly Argentina in early part of 20th century. Anthing
useful would be appreciated.

I've enjoyed going through your site, it has seemed to help many
people, and frankly, I'd like to be one of them. I wondered if anyone had
come across the names Johann Joachim Theodor Martens or Maria Timm. These
are my great-great grandparents and the German Lutheran church records
in Danville, Vermilion County,Illinois show them as both being born in
Pommern. Johann on 05/12/1843 and Maria on 11/10/1844, but they don't indicate
which region. Johann and Maria were married here in 1866, but at that time,
it was not required to list parents names. I'm trying to find their parents.
Thus far I've not had any success. If anyone knows or has seen these names,
would you let me know?

Hallo. Ich bin begeistert von dieser Homepage , Ich suche selber
Vorfahren in Pommern,in folgendenOrten Kolberg , Naugard , Stargard , Kublank
(Greifenhagen ) mal sehen wie weit ich komme. Fange gerade mal an , vielleicht
baue ich mir auch solche fabelhafte Hompage auf . Aber das dauert bestimmt
noch . Für Tips wäre ich sehr dankbar. Weiß im Moment noch
nicht wie ich den Anfang der Forschungen in Pommern beginnen soll. Naja
wird schon klappen ( Aller Anfang ist schwer. )Nochmal ein tolles Lob für
